This Privacy Policy applies to the BoldDrama iOS app, provided by BoldDrama Developer. The app is designed for local watchlists, movie/TV diary notes, quizzes, achievements, local popcorn credits, optional reminders, TMDB discovery, and an optional AI movie/TV chat.

The app stores diary entries, watchlist items, quiz results, achievements, recent searches, local popcorn credits, reminder settings, AI chat consent, and visible AI chat history locally on the device. Local popcorn credits are in-app progress only. They have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, cannot be transferred, and are not sold through in-app purchases.

The app does not create user accounts, does not offer subscriptions, does not sell in-app purchases, does not provide real-money rewards, and does not use Firebase Analytics or other third-party analytics SDKs for the app features described here.

When you search for movies or TV shows or refresh discovery shelves, the app sends the search text or selected TMDB request to The Movie Database (TMDB) API to return public movie and TV metadata such as titles, summaries, posters, backdrops, ratings, and release information. The app does not send your diary notes or local popcorn credit history to TMDB.

AI Chat is optional and is blocked until you explicitly agree in the app. After consent, the app sends the text of each user message, a chat_id created when the chat session starts, and a fixed system_prompt about movies and TV to OpenRouter Chat proxy, a third-party AI chat service hosted on Railway at freeopenrouterchat-production.up.railway.app.

The purpose of this sharing is only to generate movie/TV chat responses and recommendations. The OpenRouter Chat proxy acts as a third-party processor/service provider for this feature and is expected to protect submitted data under the same or equivalent confidentiality and security commitments described in this Privacy Policy. The AI chat service may retain server-side conversation history keyed by chat_id to preserve conversation continuity.

You can revoke AI chat data sharing in the app Settings. Revoking consent resets the local chat session, clears local chat state, removes the local chat_id, and blocks further AI chat requests until you explicitly agree again.

The app may ask for notification permission only for optional local diary reminders. Reminder notifications are scheduled on your device. The app does not use remote push notifications for diary reminders.

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, reset the relevant feature, or uninstall the app. You can delete diary and watchlist entries from the app. You can reset AI chat from the chat screen or revoke AI chat data sharing in Settings.

The app is not directed to children under 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

The Service Provider uses reasonable safeguards for information it processes and maintains. No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, but the app limits data sharing to the feature-specific services described above.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes are posted on this page. The current version is effective as of June 24, 2026.
